This is a transfer from the meetup group "Desperately Seeking Intelligent Conversation" to a forum that doesn't require monthly fees to maintain. All members of DSIC are invited to post comments and follow this blog as a way of indicating "membership" in our little discussion group community.

We will be making this up as we go, so anyone with suggestions about other/better ways to maintain and develop a group are completely welcome.

Anyone who wants to be a team member on this blog let me know--this will give them the ability to create posts (not just comment on other posts).
